Set in a stark, transcendent Manhattan under the shadow of an apocalyptic winter storm, Christopher Hudson — a struggling writer and former actor — is unravelling. Plagued by insomnia, mounting debt, professional failure, and vivid hallucinations of his younger self, he is pushed to the brink by the ghost of his ex-lover, Sheridan — a psychiatrist and recovering addict, who claims he murdered both her and their daughter, Angel, in a fit of rage.

As Christopher spirals deeper into guilt, delusion, and self-destruction, he becomes increasingly entangled with Roth Perish, his tormentor and possible alter ego: a science writer and New York Times bestselling novelist whose confessional play, Braggadocio, stalks the edges of Christopher’s reality. Within this shadow world, a mysterious cast of New Yorkers gathers in a trancelike state, each exposing buried truths, each emerging as a fractured reflection of Christopher’s haunted mind.
